These pictures were taken in 2001. Since then all iron based artefacts were stolen and sold for scraps. The buildings were burnt and nothing was left. When I was a kid, passing through this area of Sungai Lembing was a great event of the day. I will stopped and admired the working of the machines that smashed and crushed the rocks that hold the tin ores which will then be washed down the shaker (much like panning movement) to separate the black sands, rocks and tin ores.
